Add Rays bench coach Dave Martinez to the list interviewing for the Blue Jays' position, according to Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune . That would put the list at 15.

Here's the ever-growing list:
  • Don Baylor, age 61, fired Friday as Rockies hitting coach
  • Tim Bogar, 43, Red Sox third-base coach
  • Brian Butterfield, 52, Jays third-base coach
  • John Farrell, 48, Red Sox pitching coach
  • Sal Fasano, 38, Class A Lansing manager
  • DeMarlo Hale, 49, Red Sox bench coach
  • Nick Leyva, 57, Jays bench coach
  • Bob Melvin, 48, Mets pro scout
  • Rick Renteria, 49, Padres first-base coach
  • Ron Roenicke, 54, Angels bench coach
  • Luis Rivera, 46, manager, Double-A New Hampshire
  • Rob Thomson, 47, Yankees third-base coach
  • Bobby Valentine, 60, ESPN broadcaster
  • Eric Wedge, 42, hired by the Mariners
Martinez, 46, has been Joe Maddon's bench coach since 2008. He also played for parts of 16 seasons with the Cubs, Expos, Reds, Giants, White Sox, Rays, Rangers, Blue Jays and Braves.

UPDATE: MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports (via Twitter ) that Sandy Alomar Jr. interviewed today for the third time. The fact that it's his third interview and his name hadn't surfaced among the 15 others means this is one wide, crazy search. Whoever the Jays end up hiring, it won't be without doing some homework.
